Last week of term! With runs to the printers, late night paper prototyping, a calm relaxing day at the book binding workshop, and setting up our artworks for this week's exhibition, it was a crazy eventful week.

I spent a whole day at the book binding studio stitching zero waste sketchbooks from offcuts and leftover papers.

Gearing up for the exhibition to showcase our work in response to the formative assessment briefs, I spent time adding finer details to my project.

My final outcome consists of two parts: a cushion cover for each of my peers and a live interactive canvas where they could enter information and generate their unique data art patterns. Owing to time, I was unable to stitch the patterns and fabricate the cushion covers. So, after I had finalised the visuals, I printed them on paper and stitched on top to achieve tactility.

I then turned them into origami cushion prototypes in order to depict the idea.

Returning to the brief's small multiples concept, I generated unique patterns of all my peers to be displayed at the exhibition and given as takeaways.

My classmates interacted with the live canvas to see how their data was encoded into these patterns and touched and felt the prototypes during the showcase . This allowed me to strike a balance between the logical and emotional aspects of the result.

Overall, the exhibition was a great source of inspiration. Seeing and understanding everyone's interpretations of the briefs was inspiring.

What a fitting way to wrap the term!
