Colophon

This website is built entirely from the ground up with Astro and styled with Tailwind (I still love you, Tachyons), complemented by meticulous (perhaps delicate?) touches of vanilla CSS.

It is set in Mundial, a geometric sans-serif from TipoType and Verdigris, an elegant Garalde serif designed for the digital age by MVB Fonts. The fonts are served by Adobe Fonts. Adopting fluid type and space scales from Utopia has completely changed my typesetting and layout game, shifting from fixed values to scales that seamlessly adapt to changing viewport sizes. Just try changing the browser size — sooooo satisfying.

The color palette for this website is borrowed from A Dictionary of Color Combinations by Sanzo Wada. I paired  Citron Yellow with  Dull Violet Black, apart from an assortment of greys .

The favicon is a generative data art monogram that visually encodes the characters of my name. Here's the sketch if you'd like to make your own.

The site URLs are meant to be read like a sentence (thanks to Jessica Hische for the inspiration). I look forward to your complaints.
