I've spent the past week conducting workshops on participatory sensory mapping, assisting in hosting the London Data Visualisation meet-up, discussing the data visualisation process and making progress on my dissertation.

I worked on the design direction of the website accompanying my thesis work by sketching out the user interface and setting up the style guide

Organising the tactile data walk and mapping workshop this week not only facilitated learning but also fostered a sense of community and shared exploration. It brought together a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique perspective and ideas. The tactile walk was designed to guide the participants and allow them to immerse in the environment, appreciating details often overlooked. The mapping workshop that followed allowed them to translate those experiences into tangible representations.

I volunteered to help host this month’s London Data Visualisation meet-up at LCC. We had two interesting talks by Dea Bankova and Edyta Bogucka.

While juggling my dissertation work, I find great joy in maintaining my commitment to the DVS mentorship program. Engaging in discussions about the data visualisation process this week brought me a sense of nostalgia, taking me back to the time when I first embarked on the journey of discovering and, I must admit, still continue to explore my own path in this field.
