Priti Pandurangan

Hello there, I am Priti

I research, design, and prototype data-rich interfaces.

I'm currently looking for my next Product Design role in Bangalore.

I've spent about 7 years designing data products for organisations across the world, from small teams to multinational enterprises. My practice is grounded in close collaboration with technology teams, rapid iteration, and hands-on prototyping with code.

I do my best work in small, focused teams tackling complex, multi-layered contexts, particularly in the early, ambiguous stages of shaping nascent technology. At the moment, I’m most interested in designing for researchers and teams advancing the responsible use of AI.

If you think we could be a good fit, or you'd like to start a conversation, I'd love to hear from you.

Experience

Product Design, Design Engineering, and Information Design all describe what I do, depending on who's asking. Fitting it neatly into one title has been an ongoing challenge.

    Horizontal Digital

I contributed to UX and Data Visualisation for Saudi Energy's Hajj operations dashboard. Serving over 2 million pilgrims each year, this platform enables leadership teams to monitor infrastructure readiness and coordinate incident response in real-time.

    Form Energy

Form Energy is an energy technology company building battery storage solutions for a fully renewable-powered grid. I worked on their internal platform for battery test stand observability and control in R&D, helping engineers configure tests, interpret high volumes of test data, and monitor system performance.

    This work is under NDA.

    Nova Data

Nova is an early-stage analytics platform building the next generation of tools to help sellers understand and act on their data. I helped shape the initial product requirements, built a minimal design system and visualisation component library, and delivered a functional MVP.

  2. 2023 — 2026

I delivered lectures and facilitated workshops on Data Visualisation and Computational Design. I also supported students in developing multidisciplinary projects exploring the social and cultural impacts of data visualisation.

  3. Information Design Researcher

    Gramener, Bengaluru

    2019 — 2022

As part of Storylabs, Gramener's research team specialising in data visualisation and storytelling, I consulted for over a dozen international organisations and NGOs such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (India), Proctor & Gamble (Singapore), National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Novartis, and Dell. I also built custom tools, facilitated design workshops and helped internal teams craft clear, audience-focused data narratives.

Open Source Tools

I develop and contribute to a range of open-source projects, including tools for public good (Civic Compass, BDA eAuction Portal), experimental visualisation environments (Joyful Data), and tools for creative coding & generative design (HotPlot).

Interactive Experiences

As part of my broader practice, I've conceptualised and designed several award-winning interactive experiences & installations. In these works and collaborations, I interpret culture through interactive digital narratives and richly contextualised data experiences.
